Ice, records and fighting: it was the second stage of Russian Grand Prix of Figure Skating

In men's single skating won Mark Kondratyuk, who retained his leadership after a short program and brilliantly held a free skate, scoring 279.00 points as a result. The second place was taken by Alexei Erokhov, who confidently went in prizes throughout the stage. Petr Gumennik was the third, made a powerful breakthrough in the free program and jumped from fifth place to the podium.
Dance duets gave the audience real emotions - in the free dance Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva  and Egor Bazin confidently won the competition, confirming the high synchronicity and expressiveness of the skating. Next to them on the pedestal were Irina Khavronina & Dario Chirizano and Alisa Krainyukova & Semen Netsev, who added bright colours to the final stage.
This stage of the series was an important milestone in the 2022/23 season: here was not only the tournament positions of the leaders were strengthened, but also young athletes were given a chance to show their level before further major starts within the country. The atmosphere on the ice in Sochi was charged with rivalry and anticipation of new records, and the performances left many impressive moments for both spectators and experts.
